Mrs. HELEN CLAGETT

Services for Mrs. Helen Clagett, 46, Republic, will be held Thursday, 2:30 p.m. in the Bame Funeral Home, Tiffin, with the Rev. C. L. Cope officiating.

Mrs. Clagett was killed Monday, 9 a.m. when the car in which she was riding was struck by a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the South Greenfield road grade crossing, east of Tiffin.

The daughter of Henry and Ella Rothrock, she was born in Ada, O., August 31, 1904. Her family moved to Fostoria in 1912. Mrs. Clagett was graduated from Fostoria high school in 1922 and from Bowling Green State Normal school in 1924.

She was a teacher in the Sixth street school one year and several years in the Columbus avenue school.

She was married to Alvin Clagett June 5, 1929 and moved to Republic.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ella Rothrock, 1017 N. Union street; her husband, now en route home from Florida where he had gone for his health; two sisters, Mrs. R. W. McMeen, 1017 N. Union street, and Mrs. E. L. Frase, Detroit, Mich.; a half-sister, Mrs. Charles Turner, Pittsfield, Mass.; and a half-brother, the Rev. H. A. Rothrock, Germantown, Ohio.

Mrs. Clagett was employed as an invoice clerk at Montgomery Ward store in Tiffin and was en route to her employment when killed.

She was a member of the Republic Methodist church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Burial arrangements will be made after Mr. Clagett returns from Florida.
