Geraldine Lynn, 81, of Springfield, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Battle Creek. She was born July 17, 1930 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Truman and Eldora (Barve) Janson. She married the late Garland Lynn on September 13, 1947 in Battle Creek. Geraldine enjoyed bowling and has many trophies to show for it. She was a collector of frogs and salt & pepper shakers. She loved to listen to gospel music and enjoyed watching the Red Wings play hockey.
She is survived by her son, Garland (Marilyn) Lynn, Jr. of Ceresco; sister, Louise Myers of NC; her childhood friend for over 70 years, Vondella Strowbridge of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Terry (Julie) Lynn, Kim Palmer, and Chris (Michael) Summerfield; great grandchildren, Chloe Summerfield, Matthew and Michael Lynn; and 3 nieces from North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland; and son, Gary Lynn.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the Bachman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeffery Davis of Overflow Church officiating.
Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to the Overflow Church.
