LAYTON -Dora May Taylor Forbes, 90, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at Manor Care in South Ogden, Utah. She was born December 25, 1917 in Clinton, Utah to John J. and Bertha Emma Porcher Taylor. She married Merlin Forbes on October 29, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Merlin and Dora raised their family in Layton.

Dora was an active member of the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She retired from McKay-Dee Hospital after 22 years of service. Dora loved to work with her hands, and is known for her beautiful embroidered pillow cases and crocheted doilies. She also enjoyed working in her yard and loved showing off her flowers.

Dora is survived by her daughters Barbara Carlos and Marie (Dale) Seegmiller, 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter, Earl, Blaine and Evelyn; two granddaughters, two grandsons, three sisters, three brothers, and son-in-law, Richard Carlos.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends and family may call Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
