Formerly a citizen of Emporer Franz Joseph of Austria, John came with his parents and siblings to America May 3, 1902 aboard the vessel Rayn, 3rd Class. They sailed from Bremen, Germany and were examined @ Hoboken, New Jersey, U.S.A. The family were coming to McAdon, Pa. to August BUMSCA and John KEEPES to settle. A nephew vouched for John, John BENYA/BENA, having known him for 33 years, in support of his application for citizenship to the U.S.A. John described himself as 42 years of age, White male, blue-gray eyes, Brown hair, 5'6" tall @ 140 lbs. John was a sign painter and had his own business, which his only child, Richard, later joined and upon John's death took over. John A. Kisela's Parents, John and Mary Kisela are buried in St Joseph Cemetary in the following plot together. Buried in Saint Joseph's cemetery on Truman Avenue in Yonkers. The plot is in the St Charles section (PI:13 R:15 cv)
