My grandmother lived most of her life in Cohoes, NY. She worked in the mills in Cohoes as a machine operator/shirt worker. This was very typical of the time. She was married twice. Her first marriage was to Edward Bagley of Watervliet, NY, and had a son - James Edward. When this marriage ended; she married Walter Warren Fonda of Watervliet, NY, and had a daughter - Carole Elaine. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away 3 years after my mother (Carole) was born; from a brief illness.
