Ann Whiting Allan, 79, of Springville, Utah died September 9, 2008 at her home. She was born on August 3, 1929 in Provo Utah to Jesse and Helen Whiting. She married Ronald J. Allan on August 22, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Ann worked for J.C. Penny for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, best friend and sister. She always put her family before anything else. Her family parties were legendary. She was a very good quilter and a wonderful cook. She had a great sense of humor with 5 boys. Ann was a very classy Lady with lots of friends. She was always a server and never took anything from anyone.

She is survived by her husband Ronald J; her sons: Steven R. (Ann), Richard J. (Jololene), Michael B, Marc W. (Elaine) and Robert J. (Carla); 2 sisters: Mary Lou Leifson and Linda Braun; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her bird. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Kathy Reese and Janet Whiting.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Springville 2nd Ward, 1785 East 400 South. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Interment under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
