Florence Jurgella, 76, 4010 E. Maria Drive, Stevens Point, died at home Saturday, April 28, 2007, after a seven year battle with cancer. She had been under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Al Jakubowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Torun.
Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the services. The St. Stanislaus Rosary society will join in a general rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Jurgella was born Oct. 10, 1930, in the town of Hull, a daughter of the late John and Frances (Hoppa) Waldoch. She attended local schools including St. Joseph Academy.
She was married to Alex Stroik on Sept. 10, 1949, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Torun. He died Dec. 18, 1961.
She was married to William Jurgella on Sept. 15, 1962, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
She spent many years raising her children. After her children were grown, she worked at Park Ridge Pharmacy and Gifts in the cosmetics and gifts departments until her retirement in 1999.
She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband, William, Stevens Point; one son, Daniel (Darci) Jurgella, Plover; two daughters, Judi (Brian) Stroik Burkhart, Lewisville, N.C.; and Kathy (Ron) Stroik Hintz, Polonia; one brother, Ben (Florence) Waldoch, Stevens Point; three sisters, Lucille Woyak, Stevens Point, Gertrude Gabor, Milwaukee, and Verna Hoeft, Columbus; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
