John Krisza, Jr., was born in 1924 or 1925, a son of John Sr. and Pearl Krisza.

John served as a lieutenant junior grade in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He played football at Washington and Jefferson College and later at Duke University where he quarterbacked the 1944 Sugar Bowl team.

John married Luba, and they became the parents of a son and a daughter.

John was the owner of John's Cafe in McKees Rocks.

He was an active member of the Greek Catholic Union and the Orioles Club.

At the age of 56, John Krisza, Jr., died Aug. 29, 1981, at Ohio Valley Hospital.

He was survived by his wife, Luba; a son, John M. of North Hills; a daughter, Donna L. Peterson of Meadville, Crawford County; his mother, Pearl, and half-brother, William, both of McKees Rocks; and two grandchildren.
