Audrey Lee Lowther Altman, 83, widow of Albert Walker Altman, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in Ridgeland, SC. She was born on August 27, 1928 in Ridgeland, SC to the late O. Roosevelt Lowther and Pearl Phillips Lowther Pitts. She was a Cosmetologist and Beautician and was the owner of LA-Day Beauty Salon; member of Great Swamp Baptist Church for 65 years and she enjoyed working in her yard. She is survivied by her son, Albert Walker (Jean) Altman, Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; daughters, Amanda A. (Paul) Sims also of Ridgeland, SC; Gail A. (Mike) Sims of Brooklet, GA; Chyleen A. (Sam) Mock of Ridgeland, SC; brother, Tyrone "Tex" (Barbara) Lowther of Ridgeland, SC; two sisters, Ellen L. Hogsett of Ridgeland, SC; Thelma L. (Al) Day of Hardeeville, SC; nine grandchildren, Sean Altman, Amy Bostrom, Paul Sims, Jr., Aaron Sims, Joe White, Katie Mock, Devin Mock, Travis Altman, Jr. and Seth Altman; twelve great grandchildren and sister-in-law, G.G. Lowther of Ridgeland, SC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Great Swamp Baptist Church with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the church.
