Veda Mable Ledbetter, 89, of Springdale died Jan. 19 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 6, 1893, at Huntsville, the daughter of Sheridan and Idyll Wilson Fraze. She was the widow of John R. Ledbetter, who died in 1955.

Survivors include one son, Keith Ledbetter of Malaga, Wash.; nine daughters, Mrs. Nella Siler of Huntsville, Mrs. Grady Neal of Fullerton, Calif., Mrs. Nola Welch of Selah, Wash., Mrs. Nita Davis of El Cajon, Calif., Mrs. Verna Briody of Watts, Okla., Mrs. Janes Hayes of Fayetteville, Mrs. Ruby Roybal of Santa Ana, Calif., and Mrs. Avis Estep of Springdale; 47 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Friday, Jan. 21, 1983, at Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Snow officiating. Burial was in National Cemetery, Fayetteville.

Pallbearers were grandsons.
