HAP ARROWOOD
GOLDTHWAITE (RNS)

Anderson (Hap) Arrowood, 80, of Goldthwaite died Saturday morning in Childress Hospital after a lengthly illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, in Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev Dan Connally, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.

Born August 30, 1895, in Coryell County, Mr Arrowood married Josie Wilkey, Sept 1, 1920. She preceded him in death.

Mr Arrowood was a long time Mills County resident and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War I.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs Elton Roberts of Fort Stockton, Mrs Glendon Benningfield of Ulysses, Kan, Mrs Bert Weathers of Brownwood, and Mrs Frank Cook of Goldthwaite; Lometa and Mrs Bessie Insall of Brownwood; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

.... Anderson married Josie P Wilkie about 1920 in Mills County, Texas. Anderson was the father of Willie Mae Arrowood-Roberts, Mary Alice Arrowood-Benningfield, Tommie L. Arrowood, and Ruby Dee Arrowood-Cook. May you Rest In Peace cousin.
