Bob was the son of Robert and Edith Barse Sr, raised near Marcell, Minnesota, graduated from Deer River High School in 1946. Bob served in the U.S.Army from 1946-1948 most of the time spent in Korea. Burial will be with Military Honors. Bob's hobbies were making pottery, baskets and jewelry the way it was done by the Native American Indians. Bob was proud of the Native American background in his family and he had a great interest in Native American culture and Minnesota archaeology. For many years, he spent winters in Golden Valley, Arizona enjoying hiking, photography and prospecting for gold.
