Daughter of Terry Franklin Westmoreland and Emily Elizabeth Byrd Westmoreland. On June 15, 1940 she married John Louis Morton, Sr. who preceded her in death on August 6, 1996.
Mrs. Morton was a member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene.
She was the mother of Roy Eugene Morton; Roger Morton; Peggy (Gene) Chancey of Turtle Town; Lynda (Charles) Gober of Antioch; Carolyn Truette and Cathey (Tony) McNabb, both of Primm Springs; sons, John L. (Carla) Morton and Billy Joe (Rita) Morton, both of Primm Springs; Randy (Patricia) Morton of Hendersonville. She had thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
