George W. Dasbach was the son of Henry Christopher and Maria Christiana (Schaller) Dasbach. He was a salesman most of his life. He was involved in local politics and society. At one point he owned a sewing machine retail shop.

George married, first, Ida Bernhardt, April 15, 1880.

George wed Minnie J. Dickhut, daughter of C. G. Dickhut, on 26 June 1894 at her father's home in Quincy, Adams county, Illinois.

In addition to his wife, four of his original siblings survived him. They were Edward Dasbach and Mrs. Eugene [Amelia Dasbach] Moore, of Quincy Illinois; and William Dasbach and Mrs. Thomas Jefferson [Caroline Dasbach] Starks, of Chicago Illinois.

Mrs. Moore had been making her home with George and Minnie (Dickhut) Dasbach since becoming a widow in December of 1920.
