Mrs. Hood was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Frank Veal and the late Annie Belle Andrews Veal. She was the wife of the late Marion Hood and the mother of the late Douglas Hood. Mrs. Hood was a homemaker and a member of the Deepstep United Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Priscilla Hood Hooks of Milledgeville, a son, Donald Hood and his wife Shirley of Macon, five grandchildren, Wendell Hood, Allen Hood, Richie Hooks, Kelly Hooks and Mark Hooks, six great grandchildren, Kayley Hooks, Joshua Hood, Graham Hodges, Chapman Hodges, Grace Hooks, and Maggie Hooks, three sisters, Jane Veal of Bogart, Hazel Byrd and Cleo Hood both of Lillington , NC and a brother, Veron Veal of Deepstep.
