Mrs. Rosa May Villers Snyder, 72, of Parkersburg, died Monday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Betty June Burchard, Route 1, Leroy.

She was born in Roane County, daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Boice Villers. She was a member of the Baptist Gospel Temple on 8th Avenue, the Wood County Homemakers and was a nurses aide at the St. Joseph's Hospital for many years.

She is also survived by four foster sons, Dwayne Mace, Dwight Mace, and Gary Sutphin, of Parkersburg, and Larry Sutphin, of Vienna; two granddaughters, Mrs. Vickie Perine, of Route 1, Leroy, and Mrs. Melinda Miracle, of Grantsville; three great-granddaughters and a sister, Miss Martha Villers, of Parkersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. David Lloyd Snyder, in 1972; a son, three brothers and two sisters.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, with the Rev. R.L. Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
