Dolly June Magner Teel, 87, of 94 Cade St, Hartwell, widow of the late Rev. Sam L. Teel, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at Hartwell Health Care.

Born on August 26, 1922, in Kalamazoo MI, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. Magner and Nettie Miller Magner. She was a graduate of Toccoa Falls Bible College. She was a LPN, where she retired after 30 years of service from Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston, Hart County Hospital, Hartwell and Habersham Co. Medical Center, Demorest GA. She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church, former long-time member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where she taught Training Union and served in different positions of leadership. She was the teacher for many years of the Dolly Teel Sunday School Class and served in the Hebron Baptist Association.

Survivors include her daughter, Dollie June Teel Harper and her husband Eugene Harper Jr. of Murrayville GA; Grandchildren, Sonya H. Carr and her husband Dr. Clarence D. Carr of Gainesville, Tammy T. Ramsey and her husband Scott Ramsey of Spring Hill TN, David Teel and his wife Kathleen W. Teel of Hartwell and Connie T. Worley of Hartwell; Great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Taylor Carr of Gainesville, Jessica Land Blankship of California, Laura Beasley of Hartwell, Catherine Dole of Memphis TN and Jordan and Alison Teel of Hartwell; Great great-grandchild, Juliana Blankship; Sister, Betty Jean Holdridge of Kalamazoo MI also survives. Mrs. Teel was preceded in death by her parents; Step-mother, Nora Gerber Magner; Husband, Rev. Sam L. Teel; Son, Lawrence E. Teel and Brothers, Dallas and Larry Magner.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Black, Dr. Dan Vincent and Mr. Leslie Boles officiating. Burial was in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
