NORA ADAMS

Retired matron at the Lawrence F. Flick State hospital, Cresson, was found dead in bed at 9 o'clock this morning at her home at 720 William Penn highway.
She had served at the sanatorium for about 21 years before retiring within the past year.
Mrs. Adams was born Dec. 11, 1874, at Portage, a daughter of Thomas H. and Mary (Holder) Parrish.
Her husband, Mark, died 20 years ago.
Surviving is one brother, John F. of Cresson.

ADAMS – Solemn requiem high mass for Mrs. Nora Adams of 720 William Penn highway will be conducted at 10 o'clock Friday morning in St. Francis Xavier's Catholic church, Cresson. Rev. Father Albert J. Bechtold, administrator, will be the celebrant, with Rev. Father Gilbert T. Fremont, pastor of St. Aloysius Catholic church, Summit, as deacon, and Rev, Father John V. Byrne , Catholic chaplain at the Lawrence F. Flick State hospital, as sub deacon.
Mrs. Adams was a charter member of Joan of Arc Catholic Daughters of America court 716, which will recite the rosary at 8 o'clock Thursday evening at the Lynch funeral home, 511 Front street, Cresson. She also was a member of the Alter and Rosary society.
Interment will be made in St. Aloysius cemetery, Summit.
Friends are being received at the Lynch funeral home.
