A PIONEER OAK RIDGE WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Ada Gardner Barham Succumbs At The Age of 90 Years
Mrs. Ada Gardner Barham, 90 year old pioneer citizen, died at her Oak Ridge home Friday after noon, having been in failing health for several months. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Baptist Cemetery in Oak Ridge, Rev. W. E. Davis, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Pall bearers were grandsons:
R. E. Barham, Jr., William Barham, Allen Barham, Joseph Barham, Grey Barham, Jr.
Billly Barham, Billy Mott, Neal Mott, Dr. Marshall Mott

The many beautiful florial tributes bore mute testimony to the influence of this Christian woman who lived for over 50 years in the same "house by the side of the road" - always liberal minded and hospitable and seeming to employ all of the virtues.

At an early age she came to Morehouse Parish to make her home with her Uncle and Aunt, Colonel and Mrs. McDuffie, near Lake Irwin. In 1869 she married George Washington Mott, who died in 1871. In 1876, she married William Thomas Barham who also preceded her in death.
