Patricia (Perry) Owen Pierce, 74, of Jaffrey NH, died on July 11, 2003, after a long illness. She was born on March 6, 1929, in Everett MA, daughter of Alfred L. and Stella (Fraze) Perry, Sr. Mrs. Pierce had lived for 30 years in Cheshire CT and had lived in Jaffrey since 1992. She retired several years ago from the Wallingford CT public school system where she had been a special education teacher. She was a charter member of the Grace Baptist Church in Cheshire and active in many facets of the church. She attended Highland Baptist Church in Fitchburg MA. She was a graduate of Cushing Academy Ashburnham and Southern Connecticut State College.
Her first husband, Haven Owen, died in 1990.
She leaves her husband of 11 years, Rodney J. Pierce; her sons David W. Owen of Gainesville VA, Col. Gregory S. Owen, USAF, of Leesburg VA, and Rev. Barry L. Owen, who serves as a missionary in Taiwan; step-children Sharon Townsend of Glover VT, Jacquelyn Pierce and Jonathan Pierce, both of Waltham ME, and Miriam LeBlanc of Newport Center VT; brother Capt. Alfred L. Perry (USMC, ret.) of Cincinnati OH and formerly of Lancaster MA; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and many loving friends.
