"On Saturday morning just before dawn, the soul of C. K. Moore passed into the Great Beyond after many months of suffering. He was the son of Nelson and Belle Moore and was born near East Danville on June 9, 1888 and departed this life on May 18, 1929, aged 40 years, 11 months, and 9 days. Early in life under the pastorate of Rev. Hayes, he heeded the teaching of his Master, placing his membership with the Church of Christ at Union and was ever a follower of the lowly Nazarene. On December 25, 1907, he was united in marriage to Effie M. Borden. To this union were born three children, Berenice, Helen and Faith. His was a life of usefulness, employing every moment of his time when health would permit. He was unassuming in manner, true and loyal to his family, friends, and associates. His father and brother Sevart have preceded him to that Home above. He leaves his wife, three daughters, an aged mother, one sister, Cecil and one brother, Nathan, a host of friends and relatives who will mourn his passing.
