Mary Estella Fry, 85, of New Haven, passed away on May 16, 2012. She was born on February 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Melvin and Helen Knapp. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Haven.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fry; brothers, Harry, Herman, Doug and Brady Knapp; and sisters, Jo Taylor and Margie Gibbs.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Charlene) Fry of New Haven and Mel (Mary) Fry of New Haven; granddaughters, Melanie (Daniel) Higgins of St. Mary's, and Andrea (Zach) Young of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Heath Ryen, Makenna Greaves and Gabe Young; step-great-grandchild, Hunter Higgins; sisters, Patty Paugh of New Haven, Sharon (Ken) Vickers of New Haven and Peg (Bob) Harless of Mason; her special care givers, niece, Jackie Paugh and Pat Allensworth; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wes Leiving and Martha, Amber and Katrina of Pleasant Valley Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Anderson Funeral Home in New Haven with Rev. Neil Cadle officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery. Friends and family visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A registry is available at www.andersonfh.com.
