Ronald Numa Cancienne Sept. 17, 1939 - May 17, 2012 Resident of Oakland Ronald died on May 17th from a heart attack. He is greatly missed by his beloved wife, Shivani, daughter Indra Nicholas, son Tristan, sisters Bonnie Moran (Jerry) and Inez Cancienne, grandchildren Caeman, Keil, Kayna and Cole Nicholas, as well as many other family members and friends. Ronald was born in New Orleans, LA, on Sept. 17, 1939 to Inez and Kreamer Cancienne. He graduated from L.S.U. with a degree in philosophy, married and had 2 children. He worked in the financial field, first with General Electric Credit Corporation in Kansas City, MO where he raised his children in Lake Lotawana. He was transferred to Oakland where he spent the rest of his career and retirement. Not really ready for retirement, he volunteered at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, as the Financial Manager. He had the inspiration to create computer based systems for all of the services needed by the Ashram. These have greatly increased the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the operation of the Ashram.
