Obituary: Joseph D. McGuire -- Joseph D. McGuire, 82, of N. Mission Rd., Rosebus, died Aug. 22 at Central Michgian Community Hospital. He was born July 4, 1889 in Isabella County.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry's Church in Rosebush. Father Max Frego will officiate and burial will be at St. Henry's Cemetery. Rosary will be said Monday at 8:15 p.m. at the J. J. Rush Funeral Home.

He had operated a farm with his son Joseph in Vernon Township. He was a member of the township school board, an usher at St. Henry's Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a field supervisor for 25 years for the Isabella Sugar Company.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian; one son, Joseph; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Rosemary) Goddeyne of Bay City, Mrs. William (Marcy) Sweeney of Potomac, Md., Mrs. George (Marian) Harris of Saginaw; one sister, Mrs. John Corcoran of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Frank of Rosebush, Lloyd of Clear Lake and David of Rosebush; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the heart fund.
