JAMES M. BRUMMETT DEAD
He Was Civil War Veteran and About 72 Years Old
James M. Brummett, 72 years old and an old resident of Jasper county, died at the Oliver home, four and a half miles east of town, at 1:40 o'clock this morning. He had been sick only three days, suffering from paralysis.
Mr. Brummett was born February 4, 1844. He and his wife celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last September. He has engaged in farming all his life. Mr. Brummet was an old soldier, having served in the federal army four years.
Besides the wife, a son and two daughters survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence. Rev. A. J. Van Wagner will have charge and burial will be in Fasken Cemetery. Missouri Death Certificate reported that the Ulmer Undertaking Co. was in charge of his burial.
