The Caffee marker is a rough stained stone, worn by 145 years of Oregon wind and rain. Levi's face is on the north side, so there is no "good light".
I used natural, nonallergenic liquid hand soap to fill in the lettering. NOT SHAVING CREME! DO NOT ENGAGE ME ON THIS POINT! I rinsed the soap thoroughly away after photographing. No grave marker or surrounding grassy/weedy area was harmed in this cause.
Son of James (1787-1820) and Elizabeth Scott (1789-1820) Caffee; brother of William Caffee #79533485, John Calvin b. 1813, and Benjamin b. 1815
