Mrs. William Doom
McClure, Ill. (Special)--Mrs. William Doom of Granite City, formerly of East Cape Girardeau, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City. She was 76 years old.
Mrs. Doom was born in 1900 in Sweetwater, Tenn., and moved with her family to the East Cape Girardeau area in 1903.
In 1918, the former Miss Susie A. Colyer was married to Clarence Pearce of McClure. He preceded her in death in 1936. In 1952 she married William Doom.
Surviving: her husband; a son, Dewey Pearce, Ely, Nev.; brothers, John Colyer and Jess Colyer, both of McClure; sisters, Mrs. Sally Holmes, Anna, Mrs. Mary E. Cook, McClure; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A son, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
The body will be brought from Granite City to McClure Tuesday. Service will be conducted at 2 Tuesday afternoon at the McClure Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Alfred officiating. Burial will be in the Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
Pallbearers will be Bud Pearce, William M. Colyer, William E. Colyer, Woodrow Colyer, Clyde Colyer and John W. Rhymer.
