Mrs. Katherine Gundert, 73, will be buried in Plot at Mt. Calvary.
Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Gundert, 73, wife of John Gundert, who died Friday at her home, Mt. Calvary, R. 1, after a four month illness, will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Zacherl Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mt. Calvary of which she was a member. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Zacherl Funreal Home after 7 p.m. today.
Native of Johnsburg, the former Katherine Freund was born Nov. 3, 1884, the daughter of John and Mary Schmitz Freund, and on Nov. 5, 1907, was married to Mr. Gundert in Holy Cross Church. They lived in Fond du Lac for 10 years and then moved to Mt. Calvary. Mr. Gundert was engaged in farming. Mr. & Mrs. Gundert celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year.
Surviving besides the widower, are five children, Edna at home, Mrs. Val Weber and Mrs. Clarence Gudex, Mt. Calvary, and Mr. Ralph Gundert & Mrs. Herman Birschbach, both of this city; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four brothers and two sisters, Peter Freund, Matt Freund Calumetville, Wiliam Freund, city, Leo Freund, Johnsburg, Mrs. Susan Olig, city, and Mrs. Herman Schmidt, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
