She graduated from Brockton High School Class of 1923. She was prominent locally as a contralto soloist and participated in radio and religious programs in the area.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1966. Three months prior to her death she moved from Massachusetts to live her remaining months with her son Donald's family in Endwell, NY.
