CHILHOWIE, Va. Beatrice Pennington Anderson, 83, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at her home in Chilhowie. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley Pennington and Dora Sturgill Pennington; her husband, James J. Anderson; three children, two infant daughters and Lisa Kay Anderson; and a great grandson, Caleb Michael Anderson. Survivors include one son, Mike Anderson and wife, Ruth; four daughters, Judy Moore and husband, Weets, Peggy Burchett and husband, Neal, Susan Mason and husband, Bill, and Rita Caudill and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Angie Robinson and husband, Joe, Jamie McClure and husband, Kevin, Rusty Anderson and wife, Amber, Brandon Moore and wife, Erin, Brad Caudill, Ethan Mason, Jordan Caudill, and Austin Mason; two step-grandsons, Jeff Moore and wife, Camille, and Jody Caudill and wife, Alisha; nine great grandchildren, Megan Robinson, Xavier Caudill, Ryan Moore, Alex Robinson, Landon McClure, Hunter Robinson, Reece Caudill, Addison McClure, and Alayna Anderson, and soon to be great grandchild, Riley Caudill; brother-in-law, Carson Anderson and wife, Anna James; nephews, Jerry and Jimmy Anderson and families; nieces, Phyllis Blevins and Gaile Owens and families; and also a great host of neighbors and friends from Macedonia Baptist Church and Grosses Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Blevins, the Rev. Dennis Eller, and the Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 11 in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, prior to the funeral service at the church. The family wishes a special thanks to the Hospice of Southwest Virginia, Home Nursing of Chilhowie and to Dr. Reynolds and staff. Pallbearers will be Rusty Anderson, Brandon Moore, Brad Caudill, Ethan Mason, Jordan Caudill, Austin Mason, Jody Caudill, Joe Robinson, and Kevin McClure. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Macedonia Cemetery Trust Fund, in care of Judy Heath, 206 Ramblewood Rd., Chilhowie VA 24319 or to Chilhowie Fire and Rescue, PO Box 5012, Chilhowie VA 24319.
