Daniel Thomas Love, 69, of Rogue River died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at Three Rivers Community Hospital's Washington campus.

Family services have been held with Hull & Hull Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 15, 1927, in San Diego, Calif. On Dec. 17, 1965, at Las Vegas, he married the former Margarete Toepfer. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Hull, and was active during World War II and the Vietnam era. He also worked as a machinist at the San Diego shipyards. Upon his retirement, after 30 years in the Navy as a chief petty officer, he moved to Rogue River in 1979.

Love was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Rogue River.

In addition to his wife, Margarete Love, survivors include two daughters, Marion Weber of San Diego, Calif., and LaVerne Love of Denver, Colo., and two grandchildren.
