Johannes Andersson (John Anderson), son of Anders Peter Johansson and Anna Lena Larsdotter, was born 25 February 1856 at Slätten, Frillesås, Hallands län, Sweden; he was baptized 26 February 1856. He married Inger Lena Johansdotter on 15 August 1885 in Ludington, Mason County, Michigan. They were the parents of eight children. He died on 24 April 1944 in Ludington and was buried 27 April 1944 in Lakeview Cemetery.

Ludington Daily News, 25 Apr 1944: "JOHN ANDERSON DIES AT AGE OF 88. A resident of Ludington for 64 years, John Anderson, 88, of 502 East Danaher Street, who had been ill for several months, died Monday morning. Mr. Anderson was born in Holland [Frillesås, Halland], Sweden, Feb. 11, 1850, leaving there when he was 20 years old. He sailed for several years and came to Ludington April 10, 1880. He had been a contractor and builder while in Ludington and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran church. Mr. Anderson served as alderman and city commissioner. In September, 1885, he was married in Ludington to Enger Lena Johnson, who died May 11, 1935. Surviving are three sons, Justus and Enoch of Ludington and Richard of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Fredrickson of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Rose Elliot of Chicago, Ill., and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Dorrell chapel with the Rev. Mr. J. A. Landin, pastor of Emanuel Lutheran church, in charge. Burial will be in Lakeview cemetery. The body will remain at Dorrell chapel until time of the services Thursday.
