Funeral services are pending at a Denver funeral home for a grandson of a prominent Victoria county rancher, who died Sunday, April 5, 1992, while on a spring break trip in Colorado.

George R. Cannon, Jr., of Marlborough, Wiltshire, England, formerly of Denver, the grandson of the late Claude Kerry and Sue Ragsdale McCan, who was struck by a bolt of lighting on Eagle's Nest Ridge, near the top of chairlift, while skiing on Vail Mountain Sunday.

Cannon, 38 years of age, a professor at Marlborough College in England, is survived by his beloved wife; two sons, both of England; his parents, two sisters, and two brothers, all of Denver; and one uncle of Victoria.
