Hillsborough, N.C. - Services for Carolyn Ahrens, 93, will be private. Walker Funeral Home of Hillsborough is in charge. Mrs. Ahrens died Tuesday. Born in Orangeburg, she was a daughter of Julius Ahrens and Jeffsonia Riley. She was a lifelong member of the Citadel Square Baptist Church of Charleston. She lived in Miami from 1926-1957 where she was employed by Thompson McKennan Co. and I.E. Dupont Bank. She returned to Charleston in 1957 and retired from Belk's of Windermere in 1969.
