Mrs. Betty R. Freeman, 76, widow of Mr. Denny Freeman, died Monday. November 28, 2011, at her residence in Thomson, Georgia. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 1, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Augusta. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Clements, Chris Bowick, Richard Welch, Chad Hammond, Branden Hand, and Doug Knighton. Mrs. Freeman was a native of Richmond County, but lived most of her adult life in Thomson Ga. She was a homemaker and a member of the Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She was loved by many friends and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Denny Freeman and her father, Mr. Bubba Rodgers. Survivors include her daughters, Jan Freeman, Thomson and Denise Candy (Joe) Scavone, Keysville; her son, Jeff (Kimberly) Freeman, Waynesboro; her mother, Edna Rodgers, Augusta; her brother, Alton (Denise) Rodgers, Martinez; her grandchildren, Nellie Floyd, Thomson, Jeffery Freeman Jr., Waynesboro, Michael Ansley Freeman, Waynesboro, Maria (Dan) Wandless and Michelle (Jack) DeLoach; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Floyd, Thomson, Hunter Floyd, Thomson, Daniel Wandless, William Wandless, Julian DeLoach, and Georgia DeLoach; and step-grandchildren, Joey Scavone and Rusty Scavone.
