PONCHATOULA -- Douglas Beeman, 52, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.
A native of Odessa, Texas, he served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He also was project manager for Shell Pipeline.
Beeman is survived by his wife; his son; a sister; his parents, G.C. "Pete" and Cleta Bean Beeman of Kermit, Texas; and a granddaughter.
The funeral was Saturday. In lieu of flowers, family members have requested memorials be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX 75219 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.
