Lila was born on June 29, 1920 in State Center, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Della (Landon) Maynard. She grew up in Marshalltown and attended Marshalltown schools. On February 3, 1952 she was united in marriage to Cecil Klar. Lila will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Cecil Klar died in 1966. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are her four sons: Ted Klar of Des Moines, Jack (Hazel) Klar, Phillip (Della) Klar and Tom Klar, all of Marshalltown; 2 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
In eternal life, Lila is reunited with her parents and her husband, Cecil; her brother, Francis Maynard and her sister, Helen Brown.
