Brendon Edward Colliflower, 17, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, in Hagerstown. He was born Nov. 7, 1994, in Hagerstown to Amy Elizabeth Butts Collins of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Chad Edward Colliflower of Hagerstown. He was a senior at Williamsport High School, where he was an honor student. He was a member of the varsity baseball team and also the varsity soccer team. He played on the baseball and soccer team all four years. He was a member of the 2012 Prom Court. He was the The Herald-Mail Washington County Pitcher of the Year in 2011. Brendon also traveled with the Junior and Senior Legion Baseball Teams. He traveled with the Team Maryland Baseball Team to Oklahoma and participated with Maryland Select Baseball Team in Florida. Brendon was very involved in athletics. He was looking forward to attending college at Salisbury University and playing baseball for the Salisbury Seagulls.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting in Maryland and Pennsylvania with his Pap. He also traveled to Colorado to hunt. He loved music, going to concerts with his dad and spending time with family and friends and a very special close friend, Sam Kelly.
He was employed by Garfield's Restaurant in the Valley Mall.He was of the Baptist faith.
He played the violin in the orchestra in middle and high school.
Survivors, besides his parents, include: stepfather, Michael Collins of Martinsburg; sister, Shelby Elizabeth Taylor of Martinsburg; sister, Madalyne McKay Collins of Martinsburg; maternal grandparents, Randall O. and Sharon Y. Butts of Martinsburg; paternal grandparents, John W. and Gail L. Colliflower of Hagerstown; maternal great-grandparents, Joan and Pete Powell of Martinsburg; paternal great-grandmother, Marguarite Colliflower of Frederick, Md.; uncles, John W. Colliflower, Erik Butts, Glenn Baldwin, Tommy Everhart; aunts, Jonnell L. Colliflower, Tonya A. Colliflower, Tamara Baldwin, Shanda Everhart, Gina Butts; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., on Friday, May 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave. Hagerstown, on Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Steven L. Johns-Boehme officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
