Miss Hazel Dysart, 64, of Devils Lake, died unexpectedly Tuesday noon at the Mercy Hospital. There will be a service at the Burke Funeral Chapel in Devils Lake, and at the Congregational Church in Esmond. Interment will be in the family plot in the Minnewaukan Cemetery.
Hazel, Goldie Dysart was born April 28, 1898, on a farm in McClellan Township, northwest of Minnewaukan. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. William Dysart.

Soon after her birth, her father filed on land in Rich Valley Township. Mrs. Dysart, Hazel and Leslie moved to the claim shack for the summer, returning to Minnewaukan for the winter months. Her father was employed on the section.
In 1903, Mr. Dysart was promoted to section foreman of the branch line out of Esmond. The family made Esmond their permanent home until the death of Mr. Dysart in 1940.
Miss Dysart resided on a farm seven miles west of Maddock for 20 years, later moving into Maddock. In 1951 she moved to Devils Lake to make a home for her mother, who had been hospitalized for about five years. Miss Dysart was employed at the Burke Funeral Chapel.

Surviving, besides her mother, Mrs. Jennie Dysart, is a brother, Leslie, of Buckley, Wash. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Douglas, who died in 1959.
