Joseph Manuel Mayo, Jr., 66, of Little Rock died Sunday March 28, 1999 in Little Rock.

Born June 13, 1932 in Hope, he was the son of Joseph Manuel Mayo and and Vivian Inez Ellis Mayo. He was a retired printer, a Navy veteran and taught school in Willisville. He attended the Southside Assembly of God.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Kenneth E. Mayo of Batesville; a daughter, Debra Janney of Eureka, Calif.; a brother Austin Mayo of Eureka; a sister Betty Rock of Rio Dell, Calif,; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Dennerson Mayo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Southside Assembly of God with the Rev. Mike Mills and the Rev. Gary Hardage officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Oak Bower Cemetery in Bismarck under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Von Anderson, Ron Thomas, Greg Wallis, Gary Hardage, Troy Curse and James O'Kelley.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
