Husband of Virginia Pocahontas Zollicoffer. He was the son of James Hazard Wilson II and his wife, Emeline. James and Virginia were the parents of 9 children. They lived in Williamson County in the historic home, Inglewood (formerly known as Harpeth), built by his father and given to them at their marriage. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point just before the outbreak of the Civil War. He served as a Captain for the Confederate Army during the War.
