Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for Mrs. Bertha A. Carmichael, 87, 2014 Clay, who died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where she had been a patient since Sept. 19. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 10, 1879 at Clifton and had lived in Topeka 37 years.

Her husband, John E. Carmichael, died in May 1951.
Survivors include three sons, Vernie F. Carmichael, Burlingame, Johnie A. Carmichael, Loveland, Colo., and Clarence E. Carmichael, Arlington, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby V. Moore, 1213 Woodward, and Mrs. Rowena Fisher, 2604 Kentucky; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Ward, Lawndale, Calif., Mrs. Musetta Perkins, Lacrosse, and Mrs. Maudie Rothemeyer, Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
