Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the F.D. Sweet and Son Chapel for Mrs. Josie Idell Barber, 64, of Orland, who died Tuesday in Glenn General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Barber, an Orland resident for 25 years, was born July 31, 1906, in Idaho.
She is survived by her husband, W. H. Barber; two daughters, Mrs. John Leach and Mrs. Sam Ross Jr., and two sons, J. W. Powell and Arthur Powell, all of Orland; three sisters, Hazel Humsbuarg, Michigan; Mildred Cox, Washington, and Winnie Hirsch, Idaho; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The Rev. Ray Miller of the First Baptist Church will officiate on Saturday. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery. - Transcribed by M
