Charlotte Ann Hill Abney, 62, of Red Lick Road, Irvine, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006, in Central Baptist Hospital after a short illness. She was born on December 31, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hubert Hill and Helen West Hill. She was employed as a Home Health Aid with Mepco of Richmond. She has lived in Estill County all her life and attended the Cow Creek Baptist Church. She was member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by: her husband, William Russell Abney; three daughters, Donna Bingham (Dwayne) of Estill County, Debbie Walters (Michael) of Madison County and Angela Lunsford (Steve) of Estill County; one son, Tony Abney (Melva) of Estill County; one sister; and five brothers; five grandchildren, Justin Bingham, Jamie Bingham, Tyler Jordan, Kyle Smyth and Kelby Browning; and two stepgrandchildren, Christopher Walters and Brianna Walters.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Christopher Jordan.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. David Watson and burial to follow in Cobb Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
