Mrs. Amy Harris Buried at Houlka
Funeral services for Mrs. Amy Lerah Harris, 73, widow of the late J G Harris, Route 1, Houston, who died at 8:15 pm, Tuesday, March 19 at The Houston Hospital, were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am, Thursday, March 21.
The Rev. W F Clark and the Rev. Billy Floyd officiated. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery near Houlka.
Mrs. Harris was a native of Calhoun county. She was born Sept. 24, 1894, the daughter of William Andrew Harris and Mollie Davis Harris. She was a Baptist.
She leaves a son, Addison Harris with the U S Navy; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Fedrick of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Mrs. J W Rutledge of Memphis, Mrs. Ruby Franks of Violet, La., and Mrs. Joe Duke of Pontotoc, Seven grandchildren also survive
