John L. Earp, of Chandler died Saturday at his home. Services were held Monday in the Curry Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler. The Rev. Sid Tiffon, pastor of the Yukon Church of God, officiated. Burial was at Oak Park Cemetery. Born Nov. 28, 1902 in Stroud, OK, Mr. Earp had lived in the Chandler area since 1928, moving from Stroud. He married Jessie Dee Henderson on May 24, 1926 in Chandler. He was a retired farmer and a member of Stroud Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and five brothers. Survivors are his widow, Dee Earp, of the home; three daughters: Wanda Laverne Parks, Monterey, California,; Donna Francis Moore Jones; and Ailene Dorothy Henderson of Chandler; a sister Ara Hensley of Denver, Colo., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
