NEWPORT NEWS - Mae H. Adams, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996, at NorthamptonConvalescent Center. She was born in Chatham, Va., and had been a Peninsula resident since 1947.
Mrs. Adams retired in 1980 from the reproduction department at Newport News Shipbuilding after 26 years of service.
Mrs. Adams was a member of First United Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Hedrick of Rincon, Ga., and Butch Adams of Newport News; two brothers, Mark Hutson of Newport News and Eric Hutson of Hampton; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Peninsula Funeral Home on Sunday. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Monday in Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. Lary Diehl. Edition: Final
