Pfc. William E Embry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Essie Embry of Heyworth, died in Vietnam December 4th according to word received by his parents. Death was attributed to cerebral malaria.

Private Embry was born September 16, 1943 and entered the service in April 1967. He received training at Fort Knox and left for Vietnam October 1, 1967. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

Surviving besides his parents are two sisters: Mrs. Robert Porter in New Jersey and Wanita at home. Three brothers: David with the Army in Virginia, Daniel in Wapella, IL, and Samuel at home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Iseminger Funeral Home with Reverend Eugene Gray officiating. Burial was in Long Point cemetery with military graveside rites.
