Myrtle Krey died on Wednesday, March 9, 1994 at the Ness County Hospital, Ness City, Kansas. The daughter of Thomas Martin Heggy and his wife Minnie Turley Heggy, she was born Oct. 17, 1899 in Stafford County, Kansas. According to several obituaries she married Arcy Krey on March 25, 1922; however his obituary states the date as March 22. She was a homemaker and had made her home in Ness City for six years having spend most of her life in the Stafford and Great Bend area.
She was survied by four sons, three daughters, a brother of Oklahoma City, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren.
Her funeral was on Friday morning, March 11, at the First Baptist Church, Ness City, with the Rev Russell King the the Rev. Jerry Tull in charge. Burial was that afternoon in Stafford Cemetery. Memorial to the Church of the Nazarene, Stafford, where she was a member or the American Heart Association.
