Sunday our community was draped in mourning for the loss of one of our oldest residents, Mrs. Sallie Carter, aged 89 years. She was grandmother of Mrs. Dr. Blitch, also Dr. J. T. Davis, of Irvine, the latter being in North Carolina at the time of her death. Her remains were interred at the McIntosh Cemetery Sunday evening.
